How to open your ebook

Your copy was made just for your family, and it’s yours to keep. Here’s the quickest way to open it on whatever you read on.

Tip: the file you downloaded ends in .epub, for example Casper_Book_1_The_Pangolins_Order_1042.epub. Keep it somewhere safe. Once you have it, it’s yours, even after the download link closes.

1. iPhone or iPad · Apple Books

  1. Tap Download on your download page.
  2. When it finishes, tap the file (in Safari’s downloads, or in the Files app under Downloads).
  3. Choose Books. Casper opens in Apple Books and stays in your library.

2. Mac · Apple Books

Double-click the downloaded file. It opens in Books and is added to your library — and to your iPhone and iPad too, if you use iCloud.

3. Android phone or tablet · Google Play Books

  1. On a computer, or in your phone’s browser, go to play.google.com/books and sign in.
  2. Choose Upload files and pick your Casper file.
  3. Open the Google Play Books app. The book is in your library, on every device.

4. Kindle app or Kindle device · Send to Kindle

  1. Go to amazon.com/sendtokindle (or use the Send to Kindle app on your computer) and upload your Casper file.
  2. After a few minutes it appears in your Kindle library on every device signed in to your Amazon account — phone, tablet, computer and Kindle.
  3. Picture books are large files, so please use the website or app rather than emailing the file to your Kindle address, which has a smaller size limit.

Good to know: Casper’s illustrations are in full colour. On a black-and-white Kindle e-reader they show in greyscale, so for the best pictures read on a phone, tablet or computer.

5. Kobo eReader

Connect your Kobo to your computer with its cable and drag the Casper file onto it. Eject the Kobo and the book appears in your library.

6. Windows computer · Thorium Reader

Install the free Thorium Reader (from the Microsoft Store or edrlab.org), then open your Casper file with it.
